About me
Geographer by education, software engineer by vocation, based in Germany. I believe Free and Open Source Software is a model that can make both producers and consumers of software happy, as long as neither side is driven by short-sighted greed or egotism, and as long as the goals of each party are openly communicated. These days, I work mostly on things related to routing and navigation, but I have experience across the stack in the broader geospatial domain.
Beyond my professional dedication to open source software, I am an advocate for the digital commons. I spend free time contributing to OpenStreetMap, and try to contribute to other projects where I can. In the past, I have contributed photos to Wikimedia (mostly about geographic places), and I am currently working on digitizing historic church books from my home town.
Services
